Hargrove’s machine design team encompasses the creation, development, and optimization of equipment. By leveraging over 150 years of combined experience gained from working across more than a dozen industry sectors such as: manufacturing, chemicals, petroleum, life sciences, and consumer products industries, we offer practical considerations to design equipment that fulfills specific purposes. Our Team excels in: designing first of its kind equipment, reverse engineering, retrofitting/updating existing equipment, designing specialized and proprietary equipment, designing equipment for hazardous area classifications, and providing solutions for equipment that is prematurely failing.
From Concept to Commissioning, our Team works with our clients to prepare a strategy that best meets their operational objectives. We deliver successful designs in the field by preparing conceptual designs, cost estimates, detailed design packages, shop fabrication packages, QA/QC services, equipment checkout, and installation packages. We strive to improve efficiency, reliability, and safety.

Provided complete in-house design of custom equipment for a new nonwovens production facility in Canada. The new custom designed process equipment included an extruder cart, webformer, vision system, and electrostatic treater. The moving section of the custom extruder cart weighed over 80,000 pounds and can travel 12 feet, to the offline position, as well as 20 inches vertically.
Designed and replaced a lithium ingot caster originally built in the early 80’s. Our team addressed ergonomics and safety issues, as well as assembly and design issues that were causing inconsistent results. We also added several design features that were able to increase the capacity for ingot production.
